Hello. I am the grandson of Henry Gaines of Allen County, Kentucky, born in 1904. Henry Gaines (my grandpa) was the grandson of James Wesley Gaines from Greene County, Tennessee. James Wesley Gaines born in 1833 was the son of John Leland Gaines. John Leland Gaines was born in Abbeville County, South Carolina in 1796 and was the grandson of the Reverend Henry Gaines. The Reverend Henry Gaines was from Virginia but had moved to South Carolina when he was about 60 years old and lived to be over 90 years old. The Reverend Henry Gaines founded a Church near Donalds, Abbeville County, South Carolina – a Methodist Church. The Reverend Henry Gaines was born in Virginia in 1737 and died in Pickens County, South Carolina in 1830. The Reverend Henry Gaines moved to South Carolina just prior to the year 1800 (in the 1790s). I'm just wondering if …. ???? is it possible that … ????
