The Barnwell County Agricultural Building is located at 34 Pechman Street in Barnwell.

When people began to settle in the Barnwell area in the early 1800s, it was known as “Red Hill.” Back then, the city limits were only a three-quarter mile radius around the Barnwell County Courthouse. This circle the heart of the downtown area even today.
