Providence Methodist Church

SC Picture Project / Colleton County / Providence Methodist Church

Providence Methodist Church sits just northeast of Walterboro in the community of Round O. Its current site is the third location of the church, deeded to Thomas Raysor Risher in 1909. Its congregation is believed to have grown after nearby Ireland Creek Church in Walterboro fell into disrepair in the 1870s.

The current GPS coordinates are: 33.029069, -80.589526. We are unaware of the original location as far as coordinates go and have hoped to have gained more information on this place. Our efforts to reach out have been unanswered thus far but we would love to hear more.
