Located in the heart of Myrtle Beach, Myrtle Beach State Park consists of over 300 acres of maritime forest and unspoiled coastline.
The park was developed in the mid 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps as part of President Roosevelt’s New Deal program. It was the first state park opened to the public in South Carolina and included a bath house, seen below.
In addition to the fishing pier, the park also includes campgrounds, hiking trails, and an interactive nature center. Learn more about features of the park here.
