SC Picture Project / Orangeburg County / Jeffers Home

This stately Victorian home stands just outside the main business district in Holly Hill, near the Holly Hill Train Depot. Holly Hill is located in the eastern tip of Orangeburg County but was originally chartered as part of Berkeley County in the 1880s. The town was annexed into Orangeburg County in 1910.

William Adam Jeffers constructed this home for his wife and children in 1880. After he passed, his daughter lived in the home until the 1980s. The home remains a private residence in the Jeffers family and is currently undergoing renovations (1).
