The 22-car Cockaboose Railroad debuted in 1990 when a developer’s genius combined with tailgating dreams and created the perfect pre-game spot for University of South Carolina football fans. Located just 50 yards from the main entrance of Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, the 30-by-9 cars each boast a kitchenette, bathroom, and deck for hosting tailgate parties.

Owners individualize their Cockabooses according to their personal style, and many are outfitted with sophisticated sound systems and ornate decor. They currently sell for around $300,000, though they don’t stay on the market for long. Most Cockabooses have been with the same owners since they were assembled on an unused track of railroad, and their popularity has generated a host of similarly-themed real estate in the stadium’s industrial area.
I love this university.
