5th Street Bridge: Adopt This Landmark

More information is available about the 5th Street Bridge, and we are searching for someone to research its history and complete a survey that details its past. This person – who would “adopt” the landmark, so to speak – does not need to be a trained historian. Please contact us at share@scpictureproject.org if you are interested or have questions. You may also begin the survey directly. You will receive abiding credit for any new information you are able to share.

Reflections on 5th Street Bridge

Photographer Hulon Ferris of Spartanburg, who captured the image above, says, “I traversed this bridge daily driving back and forth to work. At the right time of year, the sun is just in the right spot. On Easter Sunday evening, I could see the rays forming so I rushed to the bridge to capture that moment.”
