SC Picture Project / Kershaw County / McLean House

This Victorian house in historic Camden was built in 1890 and named for its contractor, Thomas McLean. After serving as a boarding school for young women, the home later housed a bed-and-breakfast, the Greenleaf Inn. Today the McLean House is the home of the Mullikin Law Firm as well as the Mullikin Nature and Environmental Training Center, both established by Tom Mullikin.

According to Mullikin, “The Center provides training to local schools, civic groups, businesses, and community leaders on ways they can apply responsible environmental practices to their daily lives. In addition to educational programs on energy and the environment, the Center’s staff offers courses on a wide variety of nature and history topics.”
